What is Co-creative Placemaking?
Co-creative Placemaking (CcP) is an innovative public engagement program that enables residents and stakeholders to actively participate in creating a better future for their towns and neighborhoods. We use a market-based “process before plan” approach, enabling community members to actively participate in the co-creation of planning and development visions that are market attuned and implementation ready.
The heart of the CcP program is a web-based engagement tool which allows participants to upload and vote upon ideas they want to see included in development projects or municipal planning efforts. Ideas that get the most votes provide key market insights while building public support for projects that include community-supported ideas – stores, shops, public amenities, or community programs that would be made possible through future development activity.
